This latest release has been receiving wide spread radio play and very positive reviews.

It's a full band effort with eleven tracks spanning several stylistic swings.

The title comes from a highway traffic notice on Chicago's Interstate 90/94, referring to how long it takes to get downtown. Most of Phil's friends find that indeed, it takes an equal amount of time to get to his house in Bucktown or a nearby gig.

This live-in-the-studio 2003 release has become a collectors item, selling for as much as $35 unopened on Amazon, but you can get a brand new copy, recently remastered with new takes on a few songs!

After disbanding his critically acclaimed (and widely played) ten piece crossover band, Guilty in 2002, Phil had more than a dozen tunes he had yet to record, as they were more suitable to acoustic renditions. This CD was an explosion of solo takes done live in three different studios in Albuquerque, NM, Chicago, and Des Plaines, IL.

The result is his second most popular CD, simply self titled as Phil Circle.

My first release with my old ten piece band Guilty.

This one did quite well and I was proud of such a musically diverse and complex first CD.

These days, it's hard to find the original EMI pressings, but I've made a new pressing available.

We tossed a mini disc recorder on the piano next to us on-stage and ended up with this fun live set from the now defunct Gateway in Rogers Park.

Blues/Jazz Violinist Ruby Harris and I had played together previously when he sat in with my old group, but this one of our first acoustic sets (of many).
