MUSIC SERVICES PROVIDED BY
IN ADDITION TO TEACHING,
I PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING:
You simply provide a venue that will hold 10-25+ people for me to perform for a couple hours. By inviting your friends and fellow music lovers, you can offer them a comfortable and familiar venue to hear live music. In exchange, they can offer whatever cash they feel like throwing in my jar and we all have a great time. Contact me for more info on this, including recommended square footage.
A private concert is where you hire me for a specific event and I provide a couple sets or more of the kind of musical selections you need or want. This can include my own material, but doesn't have to. Prices start at $150 with a sound system provided.
WORKSHOPS AND LECTURES
Are you looking for a workshop or lecture specific to some area of music? Whether it's the creative or business end, I've done it all and can bring topics of your choosing to the forefront. Contact me for more info. Pricing depends on the length of the workshop or lecture and the size of your audience.
AND OF COURSE....
I'm still taking on New Music Students; Privately or in Small Groups; Live in Person or Live Online; Ongoing Weekly or for just One Session.

I've taught both privately and in the classroom (in schools and through workshops), and have been a working musician and teacher for more than 25 years. I have a degree in music from Columbia College Chicago (Summa Cum Laude). My students have included everyone from absolute beginners to working professionals like myself. Many of my past students have gone on to careers in music.
My approach in private instruction involves tailoring the lessons to the specific needs of each student, while making sure that he/she has the knowledge and technique to succeed in their creative endeavors. Whether it's a hobby or a potential career, I leave nothing out.
I teach from my private home studio in Rogers Park, Chicago.
I can do house calls. There is an additional fee for these that depends on location and time of day.
I can schedule lessons five days a week, daytimes and evenings.
I can teach duos or small groups and offer a discount for these lessons. This can be (and has been) very effective for bands looking to up their game a bit, or who are planning on working in the studio.
I can give (and have given) just a single session for that brush up lesson in anticipation of a big gig or audition.
Typically lessons are for one hour, once a week.
You can pay for individual lessons at $60 per hour session.
You can pay for a full month in advance for $50 per hour session.
Bigger discounts are offered for larger blocks of lessons.
