OFFICIAL CHICAGO BOOK LAUNCH and all that jazz...

FOR LESSONS AND SUCH, I PICKED UP THIS NEW DOMAIN.

Just for the sake of people searching for "guitar lessons" in "Chicago" I saw this one become available for dirt cheap and snagged it:

http://www.chicagoguitarlessons.net

You'll notice that it simply leads you to my regular main page. What do you think? Should I have it go directly to my Lessons and Services page?

Once again, I enjoy your input and really have taken many comments to heart.

SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS, IDEAS, REQUESTS:

HERE'S AN EXAMPLE...

I found that the music player on my site was a bit of an annoyance. After a few people pointing out that they found it to be an obstacle to actually picking tunes to listen to, I removed it.

You can go to my Listen and Buy page and listen to entire tracks anyway.

There are also the many tracks I have on ReverbNation.

MY THIRD BOX OF PHYSICAL BOOKS IS ON THE WAY!

My official book launch, reading, Q&A thingy is at 7pm October 19th at:

Quimby's Bookstore
1854 W. North Ave.
Chicago's Bucktown/Wicker Park
It's free.

Thank you so much! Just due to face to face and direct through my site sales, I've got my third box of physical copies of The Outback Musician's Survival Guide on the way. Customer reviews are starting to show up on Amazon and they're looking good. Of course, I received a beautiful professional review and still await a couple more... professional reviews, that is. I won't make assumptions as to their take on my work, ha! Thursday evening I'll be joining a live remote with a book club in Wisconsin that's reading the book. I'll get to hear their takes on it and answer questions about it. Here's something I've never done! Go figure. Go write. Go share it.

Search for my book The Outback Musician's Survival Guide and you'll find it all over the place online. If you've read it already and would like to leave a review, you'd be obviously helping me out (assuming ya liked it), but you also do a service for others trying to decide if it's something they'd find interesting. Something I mention briefly in the book is the role of a reviewer; to educate the populace about the music or book or movie or play that they're giving a thought to checking out. Certainly, thanks for your support in every form it takes.
I'm looking to put together a dashboard books and music tour for the spring. Where should I go? Do you have thoughts on this? Would you like to host a house concert in your town? Know a place that would be good for my solo show and/or a book reading? Contact me with your ideas on this. I'm getting started right away by looking at a map of the U.S. and pointing at cities I want to visit. Yep, that's how it starts. It's either that or I have a couple places that I'm already booked or that have been bothering me to come visit, and I build around that.

An old friend purchased my Book and CD Deal (still hiding on my site even after it ended elsewhere). He seemed to want more, so I made a sampler of songs from a few other albums. You can have this, too.

Send $6 and I'll send you 12 songs spanning three albums!

CONTRIBUTE TO MY CURRENT PROJECT...
October 21st I'll be taking the band in the studio to begin recording for a vinyl release. My live album remains in the works but this jumped ahead in line. Too much pointed to this being a first step after the book. Feel like helping out? You can purchase an advance copy to help fund the overall project. The studio is already paid for. remember, it's a combination of march sales (the book is passing the break even point right now), my own money, and advance sales (they've started). Check out the Audience Funding page.

THAT'S IT...

My unexpected follow up due to a wrong link is over.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Peace and the arts.

Hold your head up.
