The Afterlife Interview and The Outback Musician's Survival Guide

In March of 2009, while working on the album Minutes To Circle, I was interviewed in documentary fashion in Chicago's Lincoln Park on a cool morning. The questions weren't posed to the viewer, just my discussion of them. This interview has seen better than 5,000 views now and remains a nice example of some of my thoughts on songwriting and the creative mindset, among other things.

Here it is:

I cover many of these same questions in my book The Outback Musician's Survival Guide, which hit nearly 30 online booksellers on August 3rd for sale in standard physical format. It will be available by the end of this month in e-book through the same outlets and some 20 more.

I've been discussing these topics for years. They come up in conversation late night after a show with other musical artists, or with people who curious about the creative mind (forgetting that we all have one), and quite often I touch on them during my teaching.

I'm always digging more deeply and pondering aspects of being creative, what makes us tick, and the human condition. That's my job. Please feel free to contact me anytime about anything. Let's chat it up. I love it.
