What is Phil Circle Music?
We're a music school that specializes in adult education. We offer a variety of private lessons and workshops at our locations in Chicago and Los Angeles. We also run an online store!
Who is Phil Circle?
Phil Circle is the founder of Phil Circle Music. He's a musician from the Chicagoland area who now resides in Los Angeles. Phil has been teaching for more than three decades. Learn more here.
Do you offer free trial lessons?
We don’t offer free trial lessons out of a respect for our instructors’ time. But we do offer several free events where you can experience our coaching techniques and interact with our teachers. We're also happy to get you in touch with an instructor if you have any questions before booking.
What do you charge for private lessons?
Individual private lessons range from $65 to $80 per hour for in-studio and remote sessions. Please contact us for house call rates.
We also offer package discounts when you purchase blocks of lessons. Visit our lessons page.
What ages do you teach?
Adults and teens. Reach out to us about younger students.
What skill levels do you teach?
We teach anyone from the absolute beginner to the seasoned performer.
Do you offer remote lessons?

Do you provide house calls?
Yes. Depending on the instrument and teacher. Please reach out to us for details.
Where are you located?
Chicago's Wicker Park and Los Angeles.
Do I have to prepay for my lesson?
Yes. We don't put students in the schedule without payment. We recommend using our auto-billing or lesson bundle options to save your spot in the calendar (and save money!).
How often should I take lessons?
We strongly believe consistent, weekly lessons provide the best the learning experience.
Want lessons less often due to financial constraints or scheduling conflicts? Contact us! We'll be happy to work with you to to set up an effective lesson plan.
What is your cancellation policy?
While we encourage rescheduling over cancelling, individual teachers may have their own policies.
Cancelling without rescheduling within 48 hours of a lesson forfeits the lesson.

Do you sell gift cards?
Yes! We offer virtual gift cards for lessons and our online store.
I can't afford lessons. Do you offer any discounts or financial assistance?
Yes.
Scholarships may be available to assist students with financial challenges.
